Tweedsmuir Kirk is a Registered Scottish Charity SCO 13564
Tweedsmuir is the most remote of the four parishes and has the largest area but the smallest population. The area contains the source of the Tweed. In contrast to earlier times, only a few people are now involved with sheep farming. Some residents work at home, other commute, are self-employed or retired.
Tweedsmuir Kirk The present Kirk, built in 1874-6 was extensively renovated circa 2000 to repair the ravages caused by heavy rainfall. It is a friendly, traditional building which visitors find attractive.
